Rolling in like a Lion

March came in pretty busy! But the weather has been great too, days in the 50's and 60's, can't complain!

We finally got our 3 bathrooms finished. We've had lots of workers coming and going, but it's all worth it now and I really love mine. And Alyssa and Bethany love having their own big shower downstairs with them.

Then our lucky girl Bethany got to be baptized right on her Birthday! I loved seeing her so happy that day! It was fun having our families surround us and share her special day. We really appreciate all who came and joined us, her sweet school teacher even came :) Bethany is such a sweet girl and we are really proud of her. She is a very kind and generous child and we love having her in our family.

She also got to go pick out a new bike for her birthday, and she is loving it :)

We waited and did her friend party yesterday, it was a big hit. She wanted Scooby Doo theme, so I made a Mystery Mobile cake, and we played fun games like human bingo with the twister mat, then had the candy fall down on them. We played "hot potato" but with a dog bone, and pop the ghost (balloons tied to ankles). But Dave and the kids' favorite part was the "Mystery Monster" that I set up with Aubrie. She made an appearance as herself at first, then went off to change into her cape and mask during the games. She made appearances to startle the kids, then they realized all the presents had been taken! So they had to go capture the villain, and find their presents to solve the mystery. She was eventually caught and we unveiled her face and surprised them all. This was their favorite part of the party. They loved it and Dave thought it was "awesome." :) It was fun.

In other news, the girls have been reading extra hours for the Jazz reading contest. They earned some free movie passes! Our little school was in the top 10 of most minutes read in the State, (647,000 minutes) and earned a Jazz player visit by Paul Millsap, and they won having a sumo contest between some of their favorite teachers at school. This was a really funny assembly. We have some really outstanding teachers at the school, who are really good sports.

We also got to see Alyssa and Bethany perform at the School talent show to a dance that Aubrie choreographed for "Dynamite." Their friends Anna and Lydia performed with them and they did great! Again, some of the teachers did some hilarious "rock star talents" as well. It was a really fun night.

We are really looking forward to spring weather and getting OUTSIDE!

And just cuz they're cute and I forgot earlier, pictures from Valentines...
