Look who we ran into...

The girls were excited to make our 2nd annual trip out to Cabela's to see Mr. Santa himself. This elf is the real deal, we decided. He took time to chat with each girl, even though it was past time for him to go. And while we were waiting in line, Mayzie informed us that Santa would know her by name, and sure enough, he called her Mayzie and she went right up on his lap and gave him a hug, so sweet and so brave.





We've been busy doing a few other things to get in the Christmas spirit...

And just dressing up, playing with the tree and ornaments, trying to peak in the presents, rearranging the manger scene, giving baby Jesus and Mother Mary rides on the train under the tree... you know, the usual. And lots of shopping. But hopefully we are getting close to done on that one. Mayzie loves to go shopping and she's really fast and tries to slip a few extra things in the cart that mom might not have realized we needed :) We had to have a little heart to heart about how things cost money and that it does run out at some point if you buy too much stuff!
